We know that soil is important for growing food, storing carbon, regulating water tables, recycling nutrients and more. We also know that our activities, how we grow food and manage the soil, can affect the physical properties of soil and the biological activity within it. What we don’t know is exactly how this happens in real-life growing conditions in different locations, and that’s where you come in!
With your help, GROW Experiments will help us all to understand the bigger picture of sustainable growing practices, such as mulching, companion planting or reduced digging/tilling. If you take part in GROW Experiments you will become a citizen scientist and learn to carry out observations and set up simple experiments in your own growing space.
